Review on Recent Progress of Nanostructured Anode Materials for Li-Ion Batteries

Lithium ion battery (LIB) is one of the promising power storage devices in today’s world. like other types electrochemical cell has anodic and cathodic electrode which lithium intercalated deinterclated during charging discharging process respectively. The capacity improved by development innovative kinds electrode. Carbon, metal/semiconductor, metal oxides phosphides/ nitrides/sulfides based nanomaterials improve capability LIBs due to their high surface area, low diffusion distance, electrical ionic conductivity. Nanostructured materials represent a rapidly growing area field Li-ion batteries because substantial advantages terms mass transport. In this review anode classified on type transition metal/semiconductor such as carbon, silicon, titanium tin are discussed. Additionally, different reactions, comparative influence applications widely explained.
